Maine’s lobster fishery is the most valuable fishery in the country. This boom may not be sustainable as the Gulf of Maine is warming at nearly twice the rate of other marine bodies of water. The rise in temperature is referenced by the fan and the compass indicates that the lobsters are moving northward. The relationship between temperature and pounds of lobster caught annually is has been upended and fashioned into a pair of lobster trap lines.
